We seek a highly organised leader who recognises when rural people need assistance then coordinates an appropriate response. As a self-motivated co-ordinator, confidentiality, dependability and attention to detail will come naturally to you. Your connection and empathy with the rural community will lead NRST’s delivery of “rural people supporting rural people through tough times.” 

Being responsible to and supported by the NRST Board, you will manage:

  • NRST operations
  • NRST farmer support response for individuals requesting assistance
  • Adverse events
  • Biosecurity incursion
  • Rural wellness initiatives

You will also operate confidently and compassionately to: 

  • Lead the NRST AgFacilitators team
  • Provide leadership in Te Tai Tokerau rural community
  • Maintain strategic relationships with key funders, rural stakeholders and diverse community networks
  • Implement the NRST annual plan and budget
  • Work from home, expect 20 hours work/week, with capacity to work full time through adverse events
